The onboarding process is one of the most important parts of the platform, it will be the portal that will allow us to onboard SMB merchants onto the platform at scale. The whole platform has to be made to seamlessly fit into SMB's lives and guide them through the complex world of payments so they can take gift cards on their end.

Please note: This project has been parked at the low-fi stage as we are waiting for the new branding and design system to come from our branding agency. The screenshots above are a basic wireframe flow to depict the flow a customer will take to complete onboarding onto our platform.

The proposed onboarding flow came from a two week research phase to understand how the fintech industry is onboarding on scale.

The end proposal is a mesh between online onboarding and customer service building a platform that enables potential clients to call us for a product demo, sales questions or onboarding support anytime throughout the process.

Firstly, the user is able to sign up though an industry first SSO connection with their POS/Payment Provider. This enables SMB customers to login with a platform they use daily and import important business information over for a quicker and easier onboard.

Now, the user is able to sync their account with their payments provider syncing terminal information over so the user doesn't need to go through the complex process of finding that information and keep it up to date. The API's can just sync it over and keep it up to date no matter how big they grow.
